Short link

This link is no longer available

The short address you opened has expired, or the page behind it was taken down by the person who created it.

What you can do

  • Check the address for a typo — short links are case sensitive, so Ab1 and ab1 are two different links.
  • Go back to the profile or the message you opened the link from; the owner may have published a new one.
  • If you are the owner of the link, sign in and check whether it has an end date set, or whether the page it points at is still published.

Links created on a free plan stay active while the page behind them exists. Links with a scheduled end date stop working on that date, and the address itself stays reserved so nobody else can take it.

Why short links stop working

A short address is a pointer, not a copy. It keeps working for exactly as long as the page it points at stays published, and it disappears the moment the owner deletes that page, closes the account behind it or sets an end date that has now passed. None of that is a fault on your side, and there is nothing on this page that can bring the destination back.

The other common case is a link that was never quite right. Short addresses are copied by hand more often than any other kind of URL — off a printed menu, out of a photo, from a message that wrapped the line in the middle. One wrong character is enough, and because the codes are short there is a real chance the wrong character forms another valid code that leads somewhere else entirely. If the page you reached looked like somebody else's, that is usually why.

Make your own short links

A long URL is never remembered and rarely typed correctly. With Handshakeproductions you can shorten an address, give it a name people recognise, add UTM parameters and generate a QR code of the same link — see the link shortener or create a free account.

If you believe this link was removed by mistake, write to support and include the full address you opened.

My two-factor verification code does not work
Almost always this is the clock on the phone: the codes are generated from the current time, so a device that is a minute out shows codes that are already wrong. Turn on automatic date and time, then try the next code. If it still fails, use one of the recovery codes you saved when you switched two-factor on.
My link is under review. Why, and how long does it take?
Pages are reviewed automatically when they contain something our filters treat as risky — a shortened address pointing at another shortener, a payment form or a download. The page stays online for you while it is reviewed, and a review normally finishes within one business day.
I cannot access the email address linked to my account
Change it from a device where you are still signed in: open your profile, enter an address you control and confirm it from the new inbox. If you are signed out everywhere, write to support and include the address of your page.
Can I add a PDF to my list of links?
Not as a file upload, but a PDF works as a button like any other address: put the file somewhere it can be opened publicly and paste that address into the button.
