Facebook Pixel integration
The Pixel lets you see how many of the people who reached your page came from a particular campaign, and lets Facebook and Instagram show your ads to people who behave like them.
What you need first
You need a Meta Business account with a Pixel already created, and its ID — a long number you will find in the events manager. That is the only thing you have to copy; there is no code to paste and nothing to install on your side.
- Open the settings of your page and find the integrations section.
- Paste the Pixel ID into the Facebook Pixel field and save.
- Open your own page once, then check in the events manager that the visit was recorded.
- If nothing arrives, check that you pasted the ID and not the whole snippet of code, and that the page has been saved since.
What gets sent
Page views and button clicks. That is enough to build an audience of people who opened your page but did not go through to a purchase, which is usually the most valuable audience a small advertiser has.
If you also use Google Analytics, add its ID in the same place — the two do not conflict.
A note on consent
The Pixel places cookies in your visitors' browsers. Depending on where your customers are, you may be required to tell them and to let them refuse. Check what applies to your country before you turn it on, and mention it in your privacy notice.
The Pixel integration is part of the paid plans — see plans and prices.
